Accelerate Conference and Evening of Hope

God is doing great things in our midst and as a ministry we are eager to fulfill our part. With the New Year, we believe we are on the verge of a mighty outpouring of God's grace in our time and generation. We humbly desire His refreshing wind of the Holy Spirit that brings about the transformation of individuals and communities. That is why we are hosting Accelerate- a Spiritual Empowerment Conference here in the Twin Cities March 19th and 20th.

The apostle Paul speaking of his faith journey says, "I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ....but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:8-14).

This two-day conference in Minneapolis is a time of refreshing worship, inspiring messages from dynamic speakers, prayer, and re-commissioning for those in attendance. As with Paul, it is a season to seek deliverance from what lies behind and the everyday distractions, to get equipped with the tools to reach forward, and press on through the power of the Holy Spirit into God's upward call.

As we pray for revival and awakenning in our lives, churches, and communities, we are eager to hear God's specific word for us.  I pray that at Accelerate, each of us will experience God in a dynamic and refreshing way.

In conjuction with Accelerate, we are hosting a one evening evangelistic event, Evening of Hope Concert with National artists Superchick and John Reuben on the 19th of March.  The Evening of Hope is a free admission event open to all the public.  I will be giving an evangelistic message and invitation during the event.

If you live in the Twin Cities, the Evening of Hope is a perfect opportunity to invite someone who does not know Christ to come out and not only enjoy a great concert but experience the love and hope that Jesus Christ gives.

Accelerate conference will end on the 20th Saturday in the afternoon with a special session of one on one prayer for the needs of conference participants. Please make plans now to attend Accelerate 2010 on March 19th and 20th! To register and for more details and profiles of some of our conference speakers, follow this link.

OPEN FOR SPIRITUAL BUSINESS- Could COVID-19 open a window for Spiritual Awakening?

None of us wished for it. But COVID-19 delivers to our doorstep what is, perhaps, the greatest evangelistic opportunity of our lifetime. It is an unusual opportunity in the Twin Cities, North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and around the world. A scared world is open for spiritual business. The masks are off. People are open to hear that there is hope through Jesus Christ. For the church, the times we are in may have changed, due to COVID-19. But the mission we are on has not changed . The need to share the hope Jesus provides is now more urgent than ever.  Our nation is now the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Severe cases and deaths are mounting from coast to coast. Doctors, general medical workers and other essential service providers continue to do all they can to stave off the pandemic. 3 million Americans have lost their jobs. Children across the nation and worldwide are out of schools. Our economy and other global economies remain on shaky ground. All profession...

A Dream Finally Fulfilled As Academic Journey Comes to an End in 2014

Ministering at our SHINE Duluth outreach, Duluth, MN In a few days, 2014 will close on us. In retrospect, it has been a whirlwind. Besides being a husband and dad, I travelled to five different countries logging over 100,000 miles in the air for ministry. I led our SHINE team to successfully minister to over 50,000 people in Rwanda, Kenya, DR Congo, Tanzania, and around the United States.   I successfully completed, defended my doctoral thesis in global leadership, and graduated from Bethel University in the month of May. I successfully defended my statement of faith (theological beliefs) and ministry leadership philosophy in readiness for ordination through Westwood Community Church under Converge Worldwide (Formerly Baptist General Conference). Finally, I successfully petitioned to become a US citizen and voted in local elections for the first time. Graduation Day The academic journey that started sixteen years ago when I left my obscure Kenyan village to study...

Here is to God!

One of my all-time favorite hymns is John Newton's Amazing Grace. For me, it captures the essence of our calling and life as followers of Christ. It is a calling that is gratuitous, rooted in the mystery of God's own unending love and care for us. Our current standing in relation to God is in stark contrast to the natural corruption of our being. Whereas we are currently found, we once were lost. Whereas we now abide and abound in the light, we once walked in complete darkness. Whereas we now dwell in the Truth, we once lived in untruth. And whereas we now dwell in abundant eternal life, we once dwelt in death. Jesus has made it possible for me and for countless others throughout the generations to enter once and for all into God's inner circle of privilege and salvation through faith. The world around us is in staggering mode. It has lost its center. Terrorism, political, social and religious corruption, personal disjointedness. Yet in the midst of it, there is a ...
